Enlist in WCKD’s Zone Control, defend WCKD’s safezone, or join WCKD’s Flare Research Division and help find a cure to the deadly plague! Join the Right Arm to help stop WCKD’s dangerous experiments on immunes! Become an SDF peacekeeper of the SCA and protect its settlements or become a sinister agent of the secretive boogymen of the scorch.Enter the safezone’s border into the luxuries of Providence or become an explorer of the scorch as a scorchlander! Players have the freedom to do nearly everything.
WCKD Lore:
In an apocalyptic 2029, solar flares scorched the Earth’s surface turning a part of the planet into a desert wasteland known as the Scorch. The deadliest catastrophic event in history, the solar flares killed approximately 4.5 billion people within the first 15 minutes.As billions died, resources plummeted which led the governments of the world to create the Post Flare Coalition tasked with finding a solution to the resource shortages. The PFC initially came up with the idea to “humanely” terminate 30% of the world’s population with a virus that would attack the brain and painlessly kill its victim, the virus known as the ‘Flare’. When the Flare virus was released it mutated turning its victim into ‘Cranks’, mindless cannibalistic beings that attack anyone in its path. The governments realized they created something far worse than the solar flares, the world is desperate for a cure as human civilization is on the brink of collapse.The remaining governments put together their resources to create the World Catastrophe Killzone Department, also known as WCKD. WCKD has been tasked with finding a cure by testing teenagers who may be the solution as they grow immune to the deadly virus.Safezone-02 “The Providence”, is WCKD’s capital safezone protected by a fortified facility. However, access to the city has been temporarily ceased due to growing concerns of new threats within the Scorch. Though, recruitment and mining operations for WCKD still continues to persist.Current Status: The year is 2066, the Last City is being reconstructed after WCKD regained control of the city. Until then, WCKD has relocated its base of operations to the mysterious Citadel, while works on the cure continues deep within the Safezone’s border facility.

The World Catastrophe Killzone Department [WCKD]
The scientific paramilitary organization is the remnant of the old world governments that put together its resources to find a solution to the Flare pandemic that has plagued the world, for the world was desperate for a cure. The organization has made significant progress through the means of unethical experiments on teenagers that were discovered to have developed an immunity to the disease over time.Following the collapse of the Last City, the organization spent years in the shadows quietly rebuilding from the mysterious complex known as 'the Citadel.' With the exception of Safezone-02, which houses groups of Last City refugees, the organization terminated its safezone program due to a lack of resources. While rebuilding in the shadows, WCKD used mercenaries to do their dirty work, to hide their tracks and existence, shaping the wasteland to their liking for years without “existing”. Several years later, WCKD reopened a number of safezones to offer scorchlanders with food, water, shelter and security, as well as to sometimes perform experiments on scorchlanders who unknowingly walk in as test subjects. The organization's executives operate from a mysterious facility known as the 'Citadel', entry granted only to highest level executives of the organization.Motto: “Remember, WCKD is good”.
The Right Arm [TRA]
The Right Arm is an organized rebellion with an anarchic ideology created by a defecting scientist known as "The Right Arm" and a couple of WCKD troops who opposed WCKD because of their deadly inhumane experiments on teenagers. They reasoned that instead of wasting WCKD's resources on a cure that they believe cannot be manufactured but can only be harvested from the teenagers, the resources could be much better spent elsewhere and less in the hands of a few.Following WCKD's collapse, the Right Arm raided several of its last few installations, seized WCKD's technologies, and rescued the test subjects, transporting them to the 'Safe Haven'. Though, since WCKD's reemergence, the Right Arm has been active again in its efforts to bringing the organization down, this time for good.Motto: “Liberating the innocent!”

Refer to this document for some additional information.Founded during the Great War, in 1914 a group of influential men of aristocratic and scientific backgrounds came together under the banner of Lord Percival Ravenswood IV, to form a deep secret organization under the British War Office to further advance the military might of the British Imperial Army against the more technologically advanced German Empire. The organization greatly aided the allied power during the war through technologies and weapons of some which are widely known and others that are unknown. They were known as the Ministry of Unknown Sciences and Advancements (MUSA); experimenting with various experimental technologies to advance their goals further, their presence grew outside of just Great Britain. It is even said that they were instrumental in the American Manhattan Project, with key scientists and physicists having been members of the elusive group, such as Robert J. Oppenheimer himself.However, a few years after the end of the Second World War, in a post-war world, many grew disillusioned by their creation of hellish weapons that took the lives of millions, and some even felt personally responsible for the casualties. The need for superweapons slowly faded away. The British government permanently shut down the Ministry of Unknown Sciences and Advancements and wiped it off the records completely, hunting down anyone that spoke of it.However, that did not stop certain members from pursuing their curiosities, the Ministry of Unknown Sciences and Advancements, now known as simply 'The Ministry' was only defunct on paper but continued to clandestinely operate autonomously on an international scale. It became an elitist society of radical minds from various different fields, bent on creating a better world, bent on establishing what their motto stated:„Novus Ordo Scientiae“
